Ciranda Terms of Use

Last updated: October 16, 2026 (draft)

1. Who we are

Ciranda is provided by Vértice Tecnologia Global LTDA, CNPJ 67.764.810/0001-95, Rio do Sul/SC, Brazil ("we"). Contact: support@awayproof.com (interim address until Ciranda has its own domain).

By creating an account, or by continuing as a guest through a trip link, you agree to these Terms and confirm you have read the Privacy Policy.

2. The service

Ciranda is an app (iOS and Android) and a web page for planning multi-city trips as a group. You can:

The service is free today. If any part ever becomes paid, we'll tell you first and you choose whether to use it.

3. Who can use it

3.1. You must be 18 or older to create an account or join a trip through a link.

3.2. If we learn that someone under 18 is using the service, we may close the account or participation and delete the data, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Your account

4.1. You sign in with a code sent to your email, with Apple or with Google. There's no password.

4.2. You're responsible for access to your email and your device. If you notice misuse of your account, contact us.

4.3. Use a name that doesn't mislead anyone. Don't impersonate others.

4.4. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or at https://d1zofvbuugjkv2.cloudfront.net/excluir-conta. What happens to each kind of data is in the Privacy Policy.

5.1. The person who creates a trip can invite people by email or with two links: one to edit and one to vote only. Anyone with a link can join the trip as that link allows. Treat links like a key: whoever receives them, even forwarded, can see the trip.

5.2. Whoever looks after the trip can create new links (old ones stop working), remove people and stop them from coming back. If that person deletes their account, the trip passes to another member with an account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5.3. A trip belongs to the whole group. Items you create (cities, ideas, legs, expenses) are part of the shared plan and can be edited or removed by others with permission, according to their role.

6. Web access without an account (guests)

6.1. Anyone who opens a trip link in a browser can see the itinerary. To vote, comment or suggest ideas, they enter a name. By continuing, they agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

6.2. Guests don't see expenses or anyone's email. The browser keeps a guest identifier for up to 90 days. Clearing the browser breaks the link to what the guest did.

6.3. Guest names aren't verified. Don't use someone else's name.

6.4. Guests can delete their votes and comments in a trip at any time ("Delete my data from this trip").

7. What you post

7.1. Your content is yours. Comments, names, trip names, expense descriptions, cover photos and other text you send remain yours.

7.2. License to us. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license, for as long as the content is in the service, to store, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize a photo) and display it only to operate Ciranda: to show it to the trip's members and to link holders. We don't use your content in advertising, store screenshots, WhatsApp link previews or to train AI models.

7.3. The license ends when the content is deleted, with two exceptions explained in the Privacy Policy: expense records the group needs to settle up, and copies kept by legal obligation or in backups until they expire.

7.4. Photos. Only upload a photo if you have the right to share it and the consent of the people in it. Anyone pictured, even without an account, can ask for removal through the contact in section 15.

7.5. You're responsible for what you post. We can't review everything before it appears.

8. What isn't allowed

Don't post or send through Ciranda:

  1. offensive content, harassment, threats or intimidation;
  2. hate speech or discrimination based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other condition;
  3. sexual content involving minors, in any form;
  4. nudity or sexual content of anyone without their consent;
  5. other people's personal data without authorization (ID documents, phone numbers, addresses, card details);
  6. content impersonating another person or company;
  7. spam, unsolicited advertising or scams, including links to fraudulent sites;
  8. illegal content, or content encouraging crime or violence;
  9. content infringing third parties' copyright, image or trademark rights.

Also not allowed: trying to access other people's trips or accounts, getting around usage limits, automating use of the service (bots, scraping), using "Import itinerary" for anything other than importing a trip, or disrupting the service.

We run a word filter on text other people see. It blocks serious slurs, not everyday swearing.

9. Reports, blocking and removal

9.1. Report. In the app you can report a comment, a person or a cover photo. On the web, guests can report comments. Anyone, with or without an account, can report by email through the contact in section 15 (the /ajuda page).

9.2. Confidentiality. We never tell the reported person who reported them.

9.3. Timing. The Ciranda team reviews every report within 48 hours. Reported content stays visible until then. We may keep it, remove it, replace an offensive name or suspend the account. Reporters with an account get an email with the outcome.

9.4. Block. You can block another person: you stop seeing their comments in every trip, and they can't join trips you look after. Their expenses, votes and ideas stay visible, because they belong to the whole trip.

9.5. Whoever looks after the trip can remove any comment in it (the removal is recorded and visible) and remove a person without letting them back in.

9.6. Courts and authorities. We comply with court orders and lawful requests and may preserve reported content for as long as the law or the order requires.

9.7. Disputes. If your content was removed or your account suspended and you disagree, write to the contact in section 15. We reply within 15 days.

10. Money: calculations only, no payments

10.1. Ciranda doesn't process payments. We don't move money, don't store card or bank details and aren't a payment institution. Expenses, splits and settle-ups are records and calculations based on what people enter.

10.2. Marking a settle-up as "paid" only records that people said they paid. Real payments happen outside the app, between people, and are their responsibility.

10.3. Currency conversions use public reference rates, which may differ from what your bank or card charges. Debts and settlements between friends are between them; Ciranda isn't a party to those arrangements.

11. Estimates aren't quotes

11.1. Times, distances and prices for legs, lodging and places are estimates to help you plan. They aren't offers, quotes, bookings or a guarantee of price, schedule or availability.

11.2. Ciranda doesn't sell tickets or lodging and doesn't make bookings. Before buying, check prices, schedules, documents and rules directly with the provider.

11.3. Place and map information comes from Google Maps. By using maps and place search in Ciranda, you're also bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

12. Import itinerary (AI)

12.1. "Import itinerary" uses an artificial intelligence model to read the text you paste and build a draft trip. The result is best-effort: it can get cities, dates, legs, prices or places wrong.

12.2. Nothing is created without your review. The draft opens on a review screen where you fix, remove or untick anything before saving. Imported prices are always estimates, never expenses.

12.3. Only paste text you're allowed to share. Don't paste passwords, ID documents, card details or other people's sensitive data.

12.4. The feature exists only to import trips. There are daily usage limits, and it may be unavailable (for example, if the monthly cost cap is reached). You can still create the trip by hand.

12.5. How the text is handled, including processing outside Brazil, is in the Privacy Policy.

13. Suspension and termination

13.1. You can stop using Ciranda and delete your account whenever you want.

13.2. We may suspend or close an account, or block a guest's access, for violations of these Terms, an order from an authority, or risk to others or to the service. Where possible and lawful, we tell you why.

13.3. If we decide to shut down Ciranda, we'll give at least 30 days' notice, and you can request a copy of your data during that time.

14. Liability

14.1. We work to keep Ciranda available, correct and secure, but it may have errors, outages or out-of-date data (estimates, rates, place information from third parties).

14.2. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for: travel decisions and purchases made on the basis of estimates; prices, schedules or services of third parties (airlines, trains, hotels, Google); money arrangements between trip members; content posted by others, except where the law holds us liable (for example, if we fail to act after a valid notice).

14.3. Nothing in these Terms limits rights the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (CDC) or any other law gives you. We're liable for damage caused by our failure to provide the service, as the law provides.

15. Contact

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email at least 15 days before they take effect, and the date at the top will change. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change applies.

17. Governing law and forum

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you're a consumer, you may sue in the courts of your domicile (CDC art. 101 I). Otherwise, the courts of Rio do Sul/SC have jurisdiction.
